whats the difference in casinos btween local casinos, big casinos and then say las vegas?

i live in central Cali and we have an "indian" casino. its kinda small. then i know los angeles and san diego have their casinos (indian i believe), and of course theres Las Vegas. So WHATS THE DIFFERENCE? i mean say if you playing slots and those video machines, arent they ALL the same? Then theres also blackjack, roulette, craps, etc? Arent they all the same?

Yes, and No. Depends on the place. Although nothing can compare to Las Vegas, some of the Indian Casinos are actually pretty good. When I lived in Fresno, I was always up at Table Mountain. That's an Indian Casino which has standard Vegas rules on most games. There are others also.

Las Vegas tends to have the newest slots, etc.
Slots while random can be set to how loose/tight they actually are. Indian Casinos tend to have their machines a little tighter from my experience.

Aside from that….the Table Games.

Some Indian Casinos will charge you a fee to play on top of your bet. In blackjack, this is typically 50 cents per hand, but you pay that regardless of the outcome. You can push the hand, and still have to put up another 50 cents for the next hand. Also, as a side note, not all Indian Casinos play with standard Blackjack. Some use California Blackjack, or 21st Century Blackjack. Both interesting but less advantageous to the player.

The last advantage Vegas has over the others, is that you can easily leave. If you take a drive 45 minutes down some winding road to an Indian casino, you're going to want to stay for some time. In Vegas, if luck is not on your side…go to your room, try a different casino, etc.
